Mochi Bharat Embroidery

Mochi Bharat is a form of embroidery practiced by Mochi or cobbler caste of Gujrat. The sample shown here is of a peacock motif embroidered on black satin cloth. Drawing was done with chalk. Work is chain stitch filling using silk thread. 

Kasuti embroidery of Karnataka
